End-of-Year Report

End-of-Year Report!!

Hello friends!

The end of 2022 proved to be much busier than I anticipated. I didn’t get to cross all my T’s and dot all my I’s. But that’s OK.

My full-time job took up a large portion of my time and mental capacity. Between taking on more responsibilities and a building move, there was a lot going on. Still is. We’ve yet to move the office portions of the business, but that should happen over the next 2 weeks.

Despite our schedules, we insisted on finishing the year big with the little one. Christmas festivities, hockey game, and Avatar movie release were all on our musts list. None of it disappointed, and we’re all super excited for what 2023 will bring.

2022 held a lot of changes and opportunities. I didn’t read or write nearly as much as I would have liked, but the year brought lots of joy…

Movie Review: Halloween Ends

Full disclosure. I'm a horror fanatic and the entire collection of Halloween movies (minus the weird #3, Season of the Witch) has always been my favorite. The storyline, the characters, the villain… what's not to love? You can imagine how excited I was when they announced the 2018 version. One of the few times I … Continue reading Movie Review: Halloween Ends

#WritingPrompt: Dinner Table – #writingcommunity #blogger

From my other site, a fun post to share!

Hello friends!

I saw this writing prompt sometime ago and think it’s a fun idea.

If you could invite anyone to your dinner table, who would receive an invitation?

Of course, I could think of hundreds of names, but we’ll go with the first 10 that I think of. Past and present. Writers, actors, creators, and musicians. A nice variety, I think. I would love to hear your own version of the dinner table! Share with us in the comments!

  1. Jane Austen is at the top of my list. Her books have given me so much inspiration for writing and for life. Oh the questions I would ask her. There would be no end.
  2. Mandy Moore is someone I’ve always adored-since her early pop music days. I think she would offer some nice conversation to the table. Or maybe she could just serenade us. ❤

Can Alaska be my 2nd home?

I'll be the first to admit that I haven't traveled near as much as I would like. So for me, Alaska was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. It did not disappoint. This time of year is a strange time for Alaska. Winter is over and Summer hasn't quite begun. There's still snow. Mounds of it pushed to … Continue reading Can Alaska be my 2nd home?

#Reblog – #MotivationMonday – #Meditation #Rune #DragonCard

This week’s post is a beautiful one from my friend, Jan. She shares similar posts weekly, and they never fail to amaze me. ❤ Are you on a journey or preparing for one?

Writing and Music

Happy Monday! This is the last week of April. Is it just me, or are the days flying by faster? Here’s the thought for the week.

The meditation I chose to share today is positive affirmations. We so often fall victims to negative self-talk and then wonder why we draw negative to ourselves. The best way to turn that around is to change the negative to positive and watch miracles happen!

I chose to draw one Rune for this week.

Raidho is the rune of travel, representing the physical wheel of a wagon. This rune indicates you are setting off on a journey, whether in the external world or on an emotional or spiritual level.

If your travel is physical, Raidho signals a pleasant experience with few or no mishaps. If you are going on a spiritual quest, the going may require…
